More Helena-isms

This is Helena in the process of going to bed the other night....

"Uh, excuse me!" said very matter of factly and business like
Me - "Yes"
"Um, that means, that I want to lie on you." again said as tho we were transacting business

A few moments later

"Honey, there is something buzzing up there on the ceiling honey." There was a fly that had gotten in. But my did I laugh at her serious, grown up expressions.

Uterus

Was explaining to Helena that daddy's can't have a baby in their tummy - only ladies can, because they have a uterus. Say "uterus" i told her "u-terus". I'm not "terus" she replied. LOL

NO, I'm not pregnant, but a friend of ours just had a baby...

Apple Picking

We found an organic apple orchard about an hour south of us. Mmm.... Helena sure thought so. I lost count of how many apples she ate!

Dandelion

"Oh dandelion, yellow as gold, what do you do all day?

I just wait here in the tall green grass til the children come to play.

"Oh dandelion, yellow as gold, what do you do all night?

I wait right here, while the cool due falls and my hair grows long and white.

And what do you do when your hair is white and the children come to play?

They take me up in their dimpled hands... and blow my hair away."

It's Fall I'm Loving It!!!!

This weekend, we went to a Wool Festival. We could not believe all of the beautiful things we saw. Of course my favorite part was the ice cream. A real treat for me. This is only my sixth time having it in two full years. I will have to convince Mommy and Daddy that ice cream is beneficial for my health. Also included are a picture of me blowing the hair off of a dandelion and the beautiful colors behind our house.
